What has Steve Higginbotham been up to?
“And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou” - 1Kings 18:17-18
Ahab and Jezebel: Ahab was called the troubler of Israel, but when you read the scriptures it was never really so much what Ahab did, but what he ALLOWED his wife Jezebel to do. Ahab did not kill the prophets, Jezebel did (1Kings 18:4). Ahab did not kill Naboth, Jezebel had Naboth killed (1Kings 21:8). If a man does not oppose wickedness then he himself becomes just as guilty as the actual spreader of error.
How is Steve Higginbotham any different than Ahab? Ahab did not withstand Jezebel and Steve Higginbotham does not withstand Bruce McLarty, Tim Pyles, Steve Cloer, or Jeremie Beller when they all come together for fellowship at the 2019 Affirming the Faith Lectureship.
